As an on-going project on this site we will use "How to start" (page 3) and design a healthy, safe, quality, fire-proof structure, a Craftsman Solar GREEN Home. This is the same process as our Spanish Design Solar Home.

With me being reasonably patient (heh heh), my wife and I went to paper and drew what she wants. We found a local craftsman designer on a plans web site and made some changes. This cost is $1900 total. We also listed our "wants" in text.

Step 1: First, we draw the preliminary floor plans sketches we want with a comfortable room flow for us:






Text notes: Estimate @ $86 a square foot build cost, we adjusted the front 2' and depth 1' downsize to be in our budget.



Step 2. Letter sent to: ARCHITECT
Design a "Craftman Bungalow" with 3 sides having porches. Please include all GREEN technical applications sent prior on the Florida Spanish Solar home.

Design the roof to be either Coated Steel Standing Interlock Seam slate, or Recycled Materials Poly-slate design, and include associated costs please.

Enable us to change the design easily until we get it right!

See the above suggested wife's drawn floor plans and my estimate. Adjust the first with her (plans), and discuss second with me (estimate).

Together, we will have the most current Green Tech available, providing the right sustainable ideas that will be completely 100% safe, and a strong, healthy, comfortable home.

Solar equipment and applications will be discussed in a priliminary meeting with you.
